He was the brother of Ahaziah, King of Judah, and the half-brother of King Jehu of Israel. Jehoram was known for his wickedness and idolatry. He was a cruel and oppressive ruler who persecuted the prophets of God and led the people of Israel into idolatry. He also killed his own brothers and sisters in order to secure his throne. Jehoram was eventually overthrown by Jehu, who was anointed by the prophet Elijah. Jehu killed Jehoram and all of his family members, thus ending the reign of the house of Ahab.
